WHO I AM
I'm Sean Hoenderdos, a frontend developer and designer focused on building apps that are useful, usable and delightful since 2023.
Since I can rememeber, I have been curious about how things work - constantly learning, experimenting and refining my craft. Originally from Emlahleni, I moved to Cape Town in 2014. My background in retail and marketing taught me how to understand people, their needs and how they interact with products. Today, I combine that perspective with UX design and frontend development to design thoughtful experiences and bring them to life in code.
HOW I WORK
I start by understanding the problem behind the brief - the product, the people using it and what needs to work. From there, I help shape the direction, bring ideas, explore the experience and build the solution.
I move between conversations, Figma, prototypes and the browser depending on what the project needs. I work closely with the people involved, question things when they don't make sense and keep refining the solution as it takes shape.
WHAT I BRING
I bring the ability to see an idea from both sides - how it should work for the person using it, and what it takes to actually build it. That overlap is where I do my best work.
It means I can bring ideas, question decisions, spot implementation problems early and help turn rough thinking into something thoughtful, usable and shippable.
